Medical Interpreter

Responsibilities:

• Provide live consecutive Audio/Video (OPI/VRI) interpretation for clients in the medical field and its various branches. 

• Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals in medical consultations, interviews, and procedures. 

• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in interpreting sensitive medical information.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality healthcare for patients from diverse cultures and linguistic backgrounds. 

• Adapt to complex and urgent medical situations with professionalism and linguistic precision.

Important Note:
Remote position, Monday - Friday schedule from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm EST/Local Time from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with weekends off. Equipment provided

Requirements:

• ADVANCED proficiency in English, as well as fluency in any other language requested by clients (Spanish).

• Previous experience in medical interpretation of at least 2 to 6 months.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical interpretation protocols (CPT codes are a plus).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful medical situations.

• Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality.
